Happy New Year!!
Beginning a new year is so refreshing. Seeing the students come back from the break made me realize how much they have grown in such a short time. Their reading impresses me each day. Their ability to learn new words quickly is so much fun to watch. Their growth in writing from the beginning of the year is amazing. They went from stick figures and labels to writing stories with 2 and 3 sentences on a page! I know how hard you work at home and I want you to know that the hard work is paying off! We have a few short months until summer. We have a lot of learning left to do and I'm looking forward to every second of it!
We were so busy during the month of December that we did not send home any of the student books. I would like to send a few home in Thursday folders. Please allow your child to read them to you- it's so much fun!
What will your child be learning about this month?
